Your American accent in the recent episode was so convincing that when I resumed halfway through the letter I was like “who’s this guest va hero brought on??”
Jesus, really?? That’s amazing haha! I was in absolute agonies over it ngl - American accents are SO hard to do without lapsing into a silly caricature which is fine for some letters (looking at you, beautiful Bostonian trans lizard lady) but didn’t really suit this one. I’m so relieved, I was really aiming at “not excruciating” so anything beyond that is a huge bonus 😂

I thought I just had: in-'verse, there's a subculture of "reverse cryptozoologists", and there's many different arguments and splinter-groups of what exactly they do, but the core of it is that they're all members of the creature community who look for and observe particular instances of sapio.
The most "basic" and child-friendly form of them is pretty much like a scavenger hunt or bingo sheet, where people are given lists of certain natural and/or common for sapio characteristics (like "wears glasses" or "has freckles"), and have to find a human who matches those and is willing to sign their sheet and/or pose for a photo.
More controversial forms are "here's a photo of a busy scene, identity and locate the humans shown in it" (controversial because of its adjacency to stalking, and how do you know that any given person is ACTUALLY sapio and not just someone who happens to look like it in the photo), "observe and report on sapio habits and culture as if they're animals" (controversial because even if they're the dominant culture and can be assholes, they're still people, and also it invites arguments from researchers about how it's proper to study ACTUAL animals), and "without letting them know that you're watching them, and maintaining the secrecy of their location and identity, try to find the most boring and normal sapio possible" (controversial because it draws into question issues of what ethnicities or nationalities are "normal").
Sharing this for anyone who wants to play with the idea! It’s a lot of fun <3
